To-do's on our vacation loop

Hey All,

At the end of July my family will be doing a loop.
Portland, OR
Athol, Id
Cody, WY
Evanston, WY
Portland.

We have plans for Id and Evanston, but really know where else in between.

Does anyone have any recommendations for things to do/see along this route?

Thanks everyone.

On the way to Idaho, go a little north and visit Polouse Falls. There is a KOA at Starbucks.

Then go to Lewistown and stop at Helps Gate SP. Beautiful park and Lewiston and Clarkston have rich history.

Lots to do up around Athol including the Silverwod Theme Park, Lake Couer d'Alane, and many other lakes.

As you head east over I 90, stop at Wallace. There are several great mining museums and the Bordello Museum, which is a kickeven for kids.

One of our favorite stops going across Montana is Deer Lodge. There is an old state prison with about 7 museums including a car collection. Also there is the Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic site that has great history.

Have fun.

Silverwood is the reason for Athol stop, but we'll look into the other stuff as well.

This is great info. Thank you.

Couldn't see any other reason for a stop there unless it were to visit my cousin.
