Tonopah, NV
Planning on heading through the area in a few weeks. The reviews for the few rv parks in the area are pretty woeful. Any recommendations? Open to hookup or boondock.

Don’t know about a CG, but be careful driving as that area is loaded with speed traps.

10 mi W on US-6/95. Miller’s Rest area w/designated RV camping (No trucks allowed). Large open area away from highway. Clean rest rooms, dump, water. When entering you’ll come to a lot, don’t park there. Drive farther, past the restrooms, to the next lot which is signed for Overnight RVers. A great spot!

We have stayed at Millers Rest as well. Nice spot to overnight. We travel through that area three or four times a year and have stayed at the casino as well. Now days we go right on through from Reno and stay in Beatty. I see you have a side by side that must be the Tonopah attraction. Lots of folks stay in Tonopah to ride...Often the motels have lots of side by sides in the parking lots. Not much to pick from in the way of rv sites. We do see a lot of boondocking in the area.

Thanks all. Actually on this trip we won't have the SXS but have had it up in the Mina area before. This time we will have the 4wd Xterra. Passing through and thought we'd spend a day exploring the backcountry. Lot's of history in that area.

Belmont is an interesting place to visit. I have not been there since 1972 so things may have changed.

Funny you mentioned Belmont. I stayed at the Belmont Inn right before it closed about 8 or 9 years ago. I was thinking about maybe taking a drive up there. Meanwhile pulled into the casino park today and got a spot. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I would consider Miller's Rest.
Tonopah has some interesting hx and I wouldn't mind driving through it again.
Wyatt Earp lived there for awhile and Howard Hughes married Jean Peters at the Mizpah? Hotel, a long time ago.
Please report back after your sojourn in the area.

So we ended up getting a space in the Casino RV lot. Worked out great for our needs. Didn’t spend much time touring the town. Took the 4wd and visited the Reivelle Mine site out in the Warm Springs area. Lot’s of history in the area.
