Topsail Hill preserve

Anyone camp at Topsail Hill Preserve in N Fl? Looks nice on the web site. Just looking for a nice quiet place for a couple nights. I don't really need all the fancy amenities.

We have stayed there many times, it is a very nice park, quiet and well maintained.

It is one of the best state parks that Florida has to offer. Enjoy.

Maybe the best beach (almost private sugar) I've ever been at. I walk 5-6 miles a day. I found the beach and the numerous nature walks perfect for my exercise regimen. The beach is between .5-.75 miles from the campground via a private road. Bikes allowed and they have a shuttle.

Very nice spot, albeit a little expensive for a state park.

You might also look at St. Joseph Peninsula State Park. The two campgrounds are right at the beach and there are miles of uninhabited beach.

You can not go wrong with Topsail. Beautiful, well kept and close to Destin

Grayton beach SP has one new loop with full hookups, close to Destin and a great beach too.

Yes Grayton beach is nice, but Topsail is awesome. Another option is Live Oak Landing in Freeport on Black creek which empties into the bay very nice resort. A large company bought an old fish camp and made a great resort out of it. Only 15-20 min from Topsail.

My wife keeps telling me not to mention Topsail to anyone as it is difficult to get in without reservations many months in advance. If this gives you any indication as to how much we enjoy it, here goes.

We have owned a beachfront codo in Destin for 18 years, 9th. floor with the best view of the Gulf, we use it very little and rent it out. We camp at Topsail around 5 weeks per year, mainly shoulder season, after Easter spring break before summer season and after Labor Day. Either prior to or after staying at Topsail we will cross the bridge to Freeport and stay a couple of nights at Live Oak Landing. Not much to do there, you have to come back to Santa Rosa Beach area for any good restaurants but a relaxing place.
