I’d inspect the bridge myself and then move the signs out of the way and go for it.

I really did not expect this thread to resurface.
For me the bridge repair project finished yesterday, when I finally was reimbursed by my employer for my travel expenses for going to California to advise the County on how to repair the bridge.
