Travel Recommendations

We will be traveling North from Florida to New York next week. We will be picking up our RV in Palm Bay Florida. Anyone have suggestions on campgrounds and good spots for sightseeing. We are staying at a KOA outside of ORLANDO for the first night but are attempting to plan the rest of our trip. Will be stopping in both North and South Carolina to visit friends. Have a two week window.

We would appreciate any help on our trip.

Thanks,
Sui & Pete

If you're coming up the I-95 corridor, you may want to consider a stop over in Colonial Williamsburg.

Taking the Lewes/Cape May ferry will afford you the chance to see Cape May. It's a beautiful Victorian town and you won't be that far from Atlantic city. I've been on the ferry many times. It save a lot of driving and breaks the trip up nicely. It's not much more then paying the tolls and the extra fuel to continue up the I-95.

Booked a trip on the ferry. $43.00 for my rig and $20.00 for us. Should be interesting.

We hate I-95 from Richmond North and often divert up 321 to I-77 to Fancy Gap in VA Then we swap between BRP/SD and I-85 depending on how much time we have. Our alternate route is to take the Chesapeake Bridge Tunnel and sometimes the Cape May / Lewis Ferry.

Lot's of campgrounds close when you get off the ferry, Cape May is a great beach town but of course crowded in season.
