Trip Report! CA, AZ, NV, CA
I can't believe that I'm almost 2 weeks past our longest RV adventure to date. We went from Fontana CA to Prescott AZ in one of the biggest heat waves this year. This included crossing Blythe at 120 degrees, Quartzsite at 117 degrees, and climbing Yarnell Hill.
From Prescott we continued on the Boulder City for an overnight stay, and traveled across Highway 95, stopping at the Area 15 Travel Center (and Bunny Ranch Brothel - just for gas). We got to see the interesting towns of Beatty, Goldfield, and Tonopah NV before we turned off and climbed our way out of Benton Crossing, passing by Crowley Lake and staying in Mammoth Lakes CA.
From Mammoth Lakes we spent a couple of days in Lone Pine CA and played some golf before heading home.
I was quite a trip for us and our 3 little dogs. Our Southwind "Goggins" (named by our Grandson) performed perfectly, even in the extreme heat.
I wrote about it on my website if anyone is interested:

Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm still going through the photos from my "real" cameras, but have been quite pleased with the quality I get from my phone. I find the old saying that the best camera is the one you have with you very true!

Yeah, I was busy getting gas while the wife went inside the Area 51 Visitor Center and came out with a bag of goodies. She picked up a few alien themed goodies for herself, but sadly didn't get me a Bunny Ranch tee-shirt

I would have liked a T shirt, but the DW got me an Alien thing that wobbles around on the dash. She got an Alien T shirt! Guess that means I'll have to plan another trip in that area so I can get gas and other goodies!

It was very hot when we got to Congress and started our climb up Yarnell hill (100 +). But we made it and the temp gauge never budged! This is my 1st Workhorse Chassis/Chevy drive train, and I have to say I'm very impressed.
Thanks for taking the time to check it out and leave a comment, I appreciate it!
