Trouble finding RV sites?

Are any Snow Birds having trouble finding RV sites since the hurricanes this year/season?

I'm not a snow-bird yet and I'll be interested in this thread. I've been hearing that it's getting more and more crowded every year.

There are 10,000 baby boomers turning 65 everyday......

Traveling from Michigan to the RGV in Texas we found weekends to be iffy without reservations. Weekdays were no problem. Quickly learned to reserve weekends at least 3-4 days in advance. By the way it has taken us over two months for the trip. No hurry, were retired!

We can't comment on snowbird season but what I can tell you is that the East coast is wonderful after Labor Day. We are in Orlando now having come down the coast from the Poconos and Jersey shore. Weather is great and easy to get in to popular parks. Attractions and restaurants are less crowded, especially Mon-Thurs. Orlando/Clermont is beautiful in October.
We are getting a feel for future snowbird locations. We'll reserve by the month maybe with a day or two in between for travel time. I'm figuring about $750 month for Jan-Mar. We won't buy until we get much older and slow down and downsize S+B (mid 50's now and working during tax season back home in MN.) July and August are the other 2 months I view reservations as mandatory. There are lots of parks out there...you just have to plan ahead during peak travel months.
