UNDER 55 campground in Mesa/Scottsdale AZ

We are planning a big winter trip. I know I'm behind the 8 ball with getting reservations in AZ. I spent over 20 years in AZ so I'm very familiar with snowbird season. But the fact still remains .. we will be there for a better part of Feb. And we are not over 55, have kiddos and a dog. When I lived there I never did any camping so I'm not familiar with what is available. I've done some searching but so far anything nicer was for only 55+. We prefer East Mesa, Scottsdale but can also do Chandler, Gilbert, AJ or Gold Canyon.

TIA ...

There is a place on center street in Mesa that is for families. It’s across the street from the Sundial, which is 55+. It’s a mobile home park but they advertise that they take RVs, too. Best of luck in your search.

Thanks!. Mesa Spirit is 55+ :(

Tried Allstays and not much there either. Guess this is going to be a bigger challenge then I thought.

Kiddos and a dog....could be a problem in many places in Arizona. It's already snowbird season. Vast numbers of winter visitors are arriving daily. Most are retired, over 55....and that is the demographic the majority of the RV parks cater to.

You will just have to do research, make calls, send emails, and ask plenty of questions.
Be honest about the age and number of people that will occupy the space.
Also be aware....even if dogs are allowed, some breeds are prohibited.

The KOA in Apache Junction might be a good option.

Available space in Arizona may possibly disappear quickly this year, due to the recent hurricane damage in Texas and Florida.

My advice....make haste in booking a space.

Here you go - we had the same issue many years ago found this and we were fine with it for a couple weeks. Just need to work around horse shows.

Hope this helps,

These parks are awesome. Our favorites are McDowell Mountain, Usery, Lake Pleasant and Cave Creek.

Try Scottsdale RV Corral (or some name like that). I don't think it is 55+.
