Vineyards

It has happened again. Mother Nature has done it again. The vineyards RV pArk, grapevine, Tx.is closed again. Severe flooding. Second time in 6 months. No fault of there own.one of the nicest parks in the USA. This is our home base when we are in the DFW. Area, kids grandkids ,DW. mother. Had to leave sun AM . in the rain. Feel bad for the employes and the community. Affects many people.
Several sites and roads were already flooded. The park will be back, better than ever. We already have the park booked for the spring and early summer.

Haven't been there but sad to hear of their, and the community's, misfortune. Affects a lot of people. Hopefully it's just a bump in the road and they all recover quickly.

We stayed there many times when it was a Corp of Engineers park. Our daughter lived nearby and we all really enjoyed it. We never had flooding during those times. Has something changed since the Corp doesn't run it? I assume it's still a Corp lake. Or is Dallas just getting more rain than in the past years?

We are so disappointed by the recent flooding at The Vineyards. Volunteers and park staff worked so hard to get it repaired and reopened from the spring floods and then it flooded again Thanksgiving weekend. It's an awesome park and one of the few in the DFW area. We will stay there when it reopens in 2016. Beautiful campground and the people are just so nice! Dallas has seen unusually large amounts of rain this year and predictions are that the rains will be heavy into 2016 due to weather patterns. Lake Grapevine has nowhere to go when it gets full so it floods. From droughts a couple of years ago to flooding now.
