Waco and Arlington Texas

Need recommendations for best places to stay. Heading to Waco so wife can see all there is to see regarding the Magnolia bunch.... then heading back up toward Dallas for a few days to see\do all we can there. No agenda yet other than hitting the ATT stadium parking lot day before game to boondock for several days while going to game.

So I need best places to stay in area of Waco, and the Dallas\Fort Worth area.

Thanks!

We have stayed at I-35 RV Park several times. Son is at school in Waco. Pretty good Good Sams reviews. It is next to the highway so expect some noise. It is convenient for Magnolia, etc. Short term guests do receive a free breakfast (nice offer!) Pet friendly.

Have stayed at I 35 RV Park a while back, pleasant place. North of Waco.

Grand Prairie has a Trader’s Village RV Park. My folks stayed there when we lived in Arlington.

Us too, I-35 RV Park a little north of town.

The Vineyards in Grapevine is a great place to base out of for all of DFW.

Tell Chip to cut his hair! He looks like a left-over hippie from the 60's!

We found the Magnolia thing to be a big disappointment. It was very crowded and parking was not easy. We won't bother to go back.

I agree with Elkfarmer. We've stayed at both Airport Park and Grapevine and loved them. Grapevine is especially nice!

Agree, Magnolia is a disappointment. Was crowded when we went a few years ago, can't imagine it in the COVID world.

For Waco area, consider Lake Whitney State Park and the Corp of Engineer parks. I was not impressed with the COE parks when I drove through, State Park was okay. When granddaughter was young, we used to do a fall campout with Indian Princesses at that location. We were tent camping.

Wife and I did camp at Lake Whitney earlier this year. The site we had was not great for hookups as I remember. Enjoyed it, but then, a day camping beats a day in the office anytime.

Sounds like Waco is gonna be a bust, but wife likes the idea of seeing it. I see there are some choices to pick from in Waco to stay, but I hear no mention of good places\locals to stay around Dallas\FW. Thoughts for DFW?
