Ditching the motorhome for a tent this weekend!

Leading 51 Scouts and adult leaders to join about 5,000 other Scouts and West Point cadets for a great weekend of outdoor skills, friendship, and freedom!

Our troop will have to hike in 5 miles carrying everything we need for the weekend on our backs. It will be a blast!

For me those days are long gone. I wore the BSA Asst Scout Master patch and slept on the ground with my son's troops for over 8 years. My son made it to the Diamond Jubilee BSA National Jamboree, Philmont , and got his Eagle.

I remember going to Philmont, a national jamboree at Ft. AP Hill and many nights in a tent. The DW talked me into a TT after our first tenting trip, 1 dog, 2 boys and 3 upgrades later, here we are!!!

So many memories of Boy Scouting...
