West Virginia

After another week in KY we will be heading into West Virginia to spend probably 3 weeks. We will be crossing in from the Lexington KY area. Any suggestions of great campgrounds or areas to visit? We like history and smaller towns. Any sort of campgrounds are fine with us,, State Parks, National, private,, not really high end resorts.
We have no rhyme or reason of working our way across the state other than we plan to be spit out someplace in Virginia for our next state

Chief Logan State Park

Is a beautiful State Park with full hookups and 50 amp service. The Hatfield and McCoy Trail is nearby and also Hatfield Cemetery

Fill up before you get into West by god. Fuel there is high. If you get close to Beckley they use to be an exhibition coal mine. I was there thirty years ago, and the home of Jerry West the basketball player.

Thanks for the info so far,,, we are looking forward to the Virginia's! And our travels down the east coast.
Well except the fuel prices maybe Bat watchya going to do. We will be certain to fill up in Lexington KY before heading that way. But I don't think there will be a escape from it.

If you get to Chief Logan State Park be sure and catch a performance at the Amphitheater in the Park.

We saw a performance of "Ring Of Fire" put on by the locals. We also met some of the friendliest people on Earth.
