West Yellowstone in a 40' MH

We are visiting Yellowstone soon and I'm looking into staying at Baker's Hole in West Yellowstone.

campgroundreviews.com says its big rig friendly but campendium.com says max length is 32 ft.

Can anyone with personal experience with the campground give me more details about the campground and if a 40' MH can fit?

Thanks in advance!

While I can't comment on Baker's Hole, we have stayed at Grizzly RV Park which can certainly accommodate your coach and is also close to the main gate in W. Yellowstone.

We've stayed at Baker's Hole national forest campground about half a dozen times. It's a beauty - right on the Madison River. We always got a non-hookup site near the river. It doesn't accept reservations and is getting very popular so you need to get there early morning. Our 40' motorhome and Jeep fit just fine in the sites we chose.

We've stayed at Grizzly also, nice park, however we prefer the KOA West Yellowstone. More park like setting, and we like the KOA amenities like inside heated pool and spa. At the KOA we had a preferred site, which adds a large patio, lovely solid benches and table, and a double adult swing. Really nice park. Both will easily accommodate your rig. While at Yellowstone, should you need assistance I highly recommend Big Sky. Their mechanic got us out of a jam, saved our vacation, and did it at a reasonable cost with hassle. We also rented a van from them so our group (2rvs and families) could tour together.
Nice people. Happy Trails.

Thanks for all the replies!

All the feedback confirms what I thought by looking at the satellite view. Of course the NFS site was down for maintenance when I tried to check there.

We'll try and get there early.

Bakers Hole is my favorite West Yellowstone campground. Classic Forest Service with separated sites and a lovely setting. I will hopefully be there in mid-June myself!

I can't speak about what you're asking, but I will say you'd better get making your reservations. It's filling up fast out there, everything inside the park is full unless you want to chance the first come first serve spots. I just made my reservations for August two weeks ago and found that was the case.
