The 60-mile stretch of road between Hermosillo and Kino Bay was being repaved last winter while we were down there. At that time, there were detours down into the road ditches which were a little hectic, but we made it through just fine. The construction should be all complete now and the road should be in great condition. We have two friends who are now in Kino and we will email them to confirm the road condition.

Please refer to our response to Kino WHR question below in this section for more info. Also, please feel free to email us if you have more quesitons.

deborahcp,
Yes, we are in Dallas. We are planning to leave Monday or Tuesday heading to Mazatlan, Mexico. We will cross the border at Eagle Pass and heading towards Monterry, bypassing it, then on to the town of Durango up in the mountains and spend a couple days there. Then we will head to Mazatlan on the Pacific Ocean for about a month.

Then we will head north to Western Horizons in Kino. Should be there around Feb. 1 and look forward to meeting you. We've met lots of really neat people there. If there is anything else we can help with please let us know. Our email is: sorensontx@yahoo.com.

Have you already moved to Hillsboro? We'll be stopping at the Wal-mart there and drive the toad to Lake Whitney to visit friends for a couple hours.
