Sorry to hear that you are done till next year😥. We still go on the weekends until it gets really cold. It was nice meeting you and your family. I was pleasantly surprised to come across your post here. That's a first for me. Take care and safe travels! Jeff

We talked about local weekend trips. With 3 kids, my oldest daughter is in Marching Band, and has football games an competitions every weekend until Halloween. My son is in Boy Scouts and will be camping with them and doing community service projects, and I am their personal chauffer.
I may look into a trip for spring break. For now, I am emptying the motorhome for the winter. We have a crack in the windshield, so my husband is arranging to have it replaced. Then we will winterize it.
My husband really wants to go to Mount Rushmore. We are trying to decide whether to plan that trip for next summer, or wait until he retires (in 3 years) and go when we can take more time and see more. If we don't go to SD then we will do more beach trips and maybe a trip to Disney.

This is the best one in my book. Don't forget Margie & Rays Crab Shack on the road to the beach. Best She Crab soup ever! We loved the resort, the location and the beach.

Rv Ron thanks for the name of that place I second the great she crab soup I couldn't quite remember the name of that restaurant so I don't mention it in my post but we ate there a few times always a highlight of the trip

Steve-Junell, I'm not sure how long ago you visited Ocean Resorts or, perhaps, don't know what you were driving. I've lived here for over 40 years and, unless you're flying an airplane, there is no way you can get to the Va. Beach boardwalk from Sandbridge in 10 minutes.
I'm just sayin'......

Just bustin' them Steve. Hey, when you're on vacation, time is never what it really seems! Regardless, the selection of Ocean Resorts is a good one..... Happy camping!

My favorite beach is the one I'm lucky enough to live at, Manhattan Beach, CA.
White sand beach, warm water with good surf. Excellent restaurants and things to do, like playing volleyball every Monday, Wednesday and Friday with friends.
Any beach is nice, it just feels good to be near the ocean.

What are your favorite beach campgrounds?

Been to Ocean Lakes really liked it, right off the beach, dune's separated the campground's from the beach.
They have sent me e mail confirming the completion of a water park.
Also toured Pirate's Cove and another, all 3 are along side each other with maybe some hotels and grass or resteraunt's between them.
I personally thought Ocean Lake's was by far more shaded and cared for, was a lot cleaner and appealing.
