Where to park safely unattended in FL?
This might seem like a strange questions, but here's the situation. My wife and I have a new-to-us Monaco, 40 footer. We usually spend February in Florida, driving a car down to escape the Ohio weather for a month. We have relatives in a couple parts of the state that we usually visit, that want us to stay with them, but their locations will not allow motorhomes to park. We would like to travel and stay in the RV for a week or two, then when in Florida, find somewhere to safely park it and leave it for a couple weeks and use the towed Jeep to visit the relatives. I know we could stay a day or two at Walmarts, but I would never leave a coach there for longer. We could go to a campground or state park, but it seems wasteful to pay for a site when we won't be there. I'd appreciate any input. Thanks.

Joe, many campgrounds have long term storage areas at reduced rates. Find several larger campgrounds in the areas you want to visit, and call them to find out.

Many larger campgrounds have storage areas where coaches can be kept longer term. There are no hookups in those areas, and coaches are parked tightly together. If you can find one of those campgrounds you might inquire about storage in one of those areas. I'm not a snowbird, so I have no idea what's available in Fla.

You can park it in the storage area at the county CG in Miami for around $60/month. 24 hour security.

I was in the same situation is past summer in Washington State. Someone on this forum suggested I call Camping World. I called them and they bent over backwards to accommodate us. They even offered to have us use an electrical hookup (which I didn't need). It was only for 4 days but if there's one in the area you are traveling, give it a try. They didn't even charge us.
If that doesn't work, I'd try the RV Park storage area idea.

Thanks for the suggestions. Our first relatives are in the Villages, so anything around there or Leesburg. If I can find something near there, we would drive to the other relatives in Vero Beach.
