Where to stay near Denver

We had a sudden change of plans due to weather and find ourselves heading to our next destination through Santa Fe NM and then up the 25 through eastern Colorado. Trying to find a nice place with interesting things to enjoy for a 2 night stay.

We’re driving a 38 ft MH towing.

Thanks for any suggestions

We are staying at Mountaindale RV and Cabins in Fort Carson just south of CS. It is a beautiful campground. From here it is less than an hour to Pikes Peak, Royal Gorge, Garden of the Gods, and everything else around CS and Denver. We are in a 38' also and pulling a 16' trailer. No need to drop trailer lots of long pull thrus

I agree with the others on suggesting CO Springs as there is lots to do for a couple of days and if you can get in have a look at Cheyenne Mountain SP.

An alternative is to continue north on I-25 past Denver and stop near Ft Collins. Lots of micro breweries there.

Boyd lake state park in Loveland is reasonable and is close to most stuff. Ft Collins is a college town so has some good eateries and brew pubs.

Thanks to everyone, we ended up in CS at Garden of the Gods. It was hard to find an available spot on short notice. Fort Collins area was too far from Santa Fe for us to drive on one day. Which worked out given the amount of road work on the 25.
