Where to stay near Halifax

We will be in the maritime provinces for a couple months this summer. DW has to fly home for a couple weeks in the middle to tend to some family matters. So I need a 2 week stay within about a days drive of Halifax.
Looking for recommendations.
34 ft 5er.
Any thoughts?

There is one CG that we stayed at within the Halifax metro area however the airport is quite a distance from the city putting many other CGs within the same range.

Thank you.
I wasn’t aware of how far the YHZ airport is from the city itself. Very helpful bit of info!

Hahaha. Probably not. But now that you mention it, I’m curious!

I've been an avid fan of the series which is in it's 10th season. Things are getting more interesting this year in thr hunt. Something definitely was buried there. To many man made articles being fond 90 ft and deeper underground.

We have stayed at Shubie Campground in Dartmouth. Not real fancy, but decent size lots and great hiking paths right from the campground. Quiet. There are skateboard park and pickleball courts next door, I believe run by the City. Would stay there again as it is right in town and was very convenient to where we were visiting family.

We stayed in Scotia Pines CG in 2016. It was very nice. It is ~35 miles form the airport.

We stayed at Woodhaven RV Park in Hammonds Plains, NS last September. It's about a half hour drive from the Halifax airport. Nice park, clean, rv sites separated by trees and had grass/gravel base. Pretty convenient to all things Halifax and area.
