We're planning a trip from SE AZ up to SD, MT and WY. We have a 40' DP. Has anyone ever stayed at the Wind Cave Natl Pk campground? If so, how accessible will it be for us.

Elk Mountain Campground is the only CG in the NP. It's situated on the edge of a prairie with limited trees. They have water available, but no dump station or showers.
You wouldn't have any issues with your RV getting in or out of the campground. Be sure to sign up as soon as possible for cave tours. They are interesting!

Check out Custer State Park. It is just north of Wind Cave and most sites have electric hookup. There is a free dump station and water available to fill your tank near the shower house.

Not sure about the rest of the Custer campgrounds, but Game Lodge campground in Custer has a dump station and water fill as described by TXTiger. We spent a little over a week there and found it to be in a fantastic location.
