I camp to GET OUT of Wpg ... but to each his own. Couple of suggestions.
DO NOT even consider the KOA (West of Wpg), it is located next to Hwy 1 (long term camping in the back). Way to noisy.
Birds Hill Prov Park is almost always fully booked during the summer (because its so close to the Peg) - try the WEB site and see,

There is a campground Town and Country

a much better option (private) on the east side (much quieter than the KOA - BUT it is next to a FUN MOUNTAIN water park - so can get noisy during the days.
