Winnipeg MB RV Park
hi - we are planning our our trip across Canada (from Vancouver to PEI). after searching here, and not finding anything, wondering if anyone has a suggestion for an RV Park in/near Winnipeg MB? wanting to stay for three or four days beginning of June and looking for full hook ups (electric, water, and sewer).
THANKS.
cheers, pdq

We stayed at Town & Country Campground (56001 Murdock Rd, Winnipeg, MB R3X 1Z6) just off the ring road on the west side of town. That was about 1 1/2 years ago. The rate was about $38/night for a 50 amp full service pull through. The park is nothing special but it was okay and we'll be staying there again this spring on our way across Canada.
BTW... Be careful following your GPS here. Ours (now replaced with a new GPS) took us to the wrong place, several miles to the north. It is easy to find if you follow the ring road. It's beside the amusement park and the water park.

While you are close to Winnipeg, if you are looking for that one special border town visit. Take Transcanadian 1 to Steinbach then 12 toward Buffalo Point MB / Warroad, MN. Before you get to Buffalo Point you will see a sign "Piney, MB" what is unique about Piney is the boarder crossing has limited hours 06:00 - 22:00 when I was there several years ago. However Canadian Border Agents and US Customs & Immigration "share" a common building and true to the name the personnel on duty placed pine cones on the floor to "show" where the border is. Both were very friendly and open to conversation, after 10 minutes or so I left.
I know the above doesn't offer a place to camp, just a really unique place that further demonstrates why Canada & US share the largest non-militarized border.
Be safe on your travels

Just a small correction to Ron H's info , the Town & Country Campground :: About the Campground is on the "East" side of Winnipeg and is near the Trans-Canada Hwy
and the Perimeter Hwy that goes around the city.
