Winter Camping

Thinking of spending Jan.&Feb. of 2015 camping around Pensacola/Destin area of Florida,(my wife has some family in Destin).Just wondering if anyone has any experience of campgrounds in those areas at those months.We would be in a 40' motorhome,needing; E/W/S, 50 amp service.Thanks for any info!

There are dozens of great campgrounds/RV parks in that area. The good news is, their rates are much lower January and February than in the summer. The bad news is, that's because it gets cold up there!

Cold is relative. It's nothing like our native Wisconsin, but it is why most snow birds will settle even farther south. We visited the area one February and the fountain in the site next to us froze!
