Worst RV Parks - What State?

After 250 nights and about 30 states, I noticed one standout state for way below average RV Parks. TEXAS

Review sites seem to agree.

Maybe Trailer Trash was invented in the Lone Star State?

Interesting question...since we do mostly (80%) of our nights at state and federal campgrounds I'll have a limited opinion.

Maybe Alaska...( private campgrounds) That is a little unfair as they have a very short season, so not a lot of income to pay for system upgrades. As long as the electric was on, the water flowing and not yellow, and the sewer not overflowing...I can give them a pass.

I'll bite, what constitutes bad?

To put it another way, what's wrong with Texas parks? I've never been there so no clue here.

In defense of the lone star state, their economy is on fire and so many parks are full of long-term oilfield, construction and pipe line workers. Wonderful folks, but sometimes we accumulate more “necessities “ around the premises than active travelers.
This could detract from the “resort” feel of other areas.
My two cents

We spent a month in Texas exploring the state, stayed at about 12 different RV parks all around the state and all were fairly decent. We go across Texas on I 10 every couple of years and ,again, haven't found a bad RV park.

Of course we may be easier to please than you but all in all Texas RV parks are great.

We loved the public parks in Texas. Perhaps it depends on what areas in Texas you were that the RV parks were bad. Your Signature Line states 27,000 miles, 41 states in 13 months. You didn't give yourself a chance! It took us 16 years of full-timing to cover those states!!

Have to agree; at least not worst. Not a whole state, but I vote for the San Francisco Bay area. Not a single decent FH park within 50 miles, any direction.

We've wintered in Texas for some part of four years. We've stayed at Austin, Aransas Pass, Dickinson, Houston, Galveston, Wichita Falls, and all across I10 and I40. Never a bad park or experience.

We have seen a lot of workers that live in the parks, but they were all friendly and their units well kept. Usually they were at work and not around. Never were they rowdy or loud.

We like Texas and will be back for sure.

Have stayed at several Texas parks and they were all fine. Texans are great folks, some of the best.

Are you talking commercial parks, state, federal etc? In our travels, I can't think of any state that stood out in a big way good or bad as far as the parks go. We find really great ones all over, and why are we here parks as well. There are areas where tourist, oil booms etc have some what I'll call interesting parks, if there is any vacancy, but they tend to be localized, and to be honest I tend to have a great time in them.

What features are you looking for? What is it that makes you find a place less than desirable?

Niagara Falls Camping and Lodging, Niagara Falls NY. Only camp ground I have ever had issues with. Very expensive parking lot type parking. After a light rain park became a mud pit with several inches of water at sites. Owner has no respect for campers property, they decided to cut down 80 foot tree 5 feet from my rv and ground the stump without warning me.
