Hmmm. Did you know that California has rattlesnakes also?

We like California on the east side of the Sierras and southern and we like Arizona, too.

By popular demand, the RV park was Sugarbarge on Bethel Island. To be fair, the spots in the center of the park looked better. But as mentioned in my earlier post, we won't be returning.

If you do such things, I would encourage you to write a review of the park at one of such websites. (I checked 3 of the bigger websites. Reviews of the park were pretty good. Mosquitos were sometimes mentioned & at least one expressed concern about dog wastes.) Obviously we who might be visiting the area want to know how others feel, but I would hope management is reading the reviews also. We did stay at the park about 15 years ago. We enjoyed the restaurant on the water. About 2 years ago we were dinghy driving in the area & revisited it. Looked pretty nice. Not much can be done about the mosquitos, but, even though they shouldn't have to, management must address the potential health hazard created by negligent pet owners.

When I was setting up there were mosquitos buzzing like dive bombers (the "very last site" we got was actually on the outer perimeter of what appeared to be the long term neighborhood up against what could be described as a swamp). There were "pincher bugs" in the power socket cover and a colony of ants, with eggs, coming out of my surge protector when I disconnected. Talk about a mess... My wife says she had a good time. That makes one of us😡
I have been to worse places over the years.
