Wyoming/Denver area suggestions

We will be going south on I-25 from Sydney, Ne on October 2 and want to spend a day or 2 in Cheyenne, Wy area then south to southern Denver suburbs. Any suggestions on campgrounds are appreciated. We are 45 ft with a dolly and toad.
Thanks

We've stayed at the Terry Bison Ranch in Cheyenne. CG is good, could use some updating. However they have a great restaurant, the Senator's Steakhouse, on site. There is also a small gauge RR that tours the ranch and gets you up close to their huge Buffalo herd

Would Golden of Jeffco work?

Would this Route work? - https://binged.it/2QUpIWx

Golden Clear Creek is a Great in town CG the Route would certainly not be shorter - But Definitely More Memorable.

Near Denver our favorite is Cherry Creek State park. Easy online reservation & they have big sites of all kinds. Below was in the FHU Buffalo loop.

x2 on Cherry Creek. We were just there last week for the 5th. consecutive year. Have enjoyed it every time. Nice reservoir, pelicans are still there, and plenty of deer. It was nearly full every night that we were there (11 nights) so if you can find anything grab it. It is a very enjoyable place. Chatfield, from what I hear, is being renovated but still camping is available. I have never been there but it sounds like a nice area as well. Enjoy your trip.
