Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Parks To Partially Reopen May 18
Yellowstone and Tetons - Info - Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Parks To Partially Reopen May 18 - https://www.ypradio.org/post/yellows...ay-18#stream/0
But overnight lodging, food service and visitor centers will remain closed.
While Wyoming recently lifted a 14-day self-quarantine order for out-of-state visitors and requested Yellowstone reopen, Montana has not.

Thank you! This is good to know. We had hoped to go to Yellowstone in June but now not sure. Normally we would go through Idaho and Montana to get there from Washington. I read the fine print for Montana and you need to quarantine for 14 days OR as long as you are there. So, I guess that could work to get to Wyoming.

If you believe the State announcement - Issue may be that Glacier NP may not open - as no decision has been reached as of yet.
Best of Luck,

Short answer is yes. Long answer is local health departments still have the ability to impose restrictions that exceed the state restrictions. Like everywhere in the country there are opposing views to opening. These opposing positions make it possible that tourism will not be a smooth journey. If your travels take you close this year, enjoy. But personally, I wouldn't plan a trip of a lifetime to anywhere this year, Yellowstone and Grand Teton included.

Some of us might just be in the "I Don't Buy GREEN Bananas" Group so .........
While your advice is spot on for many it may miss the mark for just as many. -
This will be an Interesting year in More ways than We Can Imagine.

kcdogger- Fortunately, this would not be a "trip of a lifetime". You are so correct in stating this especially for newbies and those who have never been. The lodges in Yellowstone are closed this year too and they are so beautiful and historical.
This is one of our favorite places and not a pain to get to from WA. As we are self employed and all but 2 of our events have been canceled for the year, we have the calendar clear and thought of making the journey.
So true, this year will make our journeys interesting.
Safe travels.
