Yellowstone to Banff Must Sees

Taking a trip up to Banff from West Yellowstone in a couple of weeks and don't want to overlook anything interesting....land forms or historical sites.

We plan to see Glacier NP on the way up. What else?

I cannot tell you about that route, since we went to Banff from a different one.
However -- we loved both Banff and Jasper. Stayed there on the way to Alaska and liked them so much we added some time there on our return.

Between the trips up and back I am sure we spent 8-10 days in the two parks.

Great places with lots to do. thx Dale

Check out Virginia City and Nevada City which are gold rush era towns and fun to see. Lewis & Clark Caverns near Three Forks. The museums in Helena and The Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center in Great Falls are good. If you go thru Missoula instead and along Flathead Lake there are a lot of things to do and see locally. Go on the Montana State website and there is a lot to see and do no matter which route.
