At the risk of stating the obvious: if you want to stay there during the summer, you'll need a good sense of Yuma.

I'm getting that now. But when it comes to expenses it's always good to defer to those who have actual first hand knowledge.

Yuma's temps thru Sunday will be 116 deg. - the same as Phoenix. Tucson is cooler.... 113 deg. Arizona in the summer is best spent in Flagstaff, Show Low, Pinetop, Greer - very pleasant temps and they even get rain!!

Just rolled through Yuma yesterday evening (6:00-ish). It was 120 degrees. Good test for our coach cooling system!

I’ll save my trip to Yuma for winter time.
I usually Rv north in summer, south in winter, works out great for the past 22 yrs.
Only one problem, I’m running out new places north. I guess it’s time to go to Canada when it opens, maybe Nova Scotia next summer for 3-4 weeks

We spend 5 months a year in Mesa but no way would I want to be there in mid summer in an RV. Guy across the road from me stays all summer in his 5th wheel and last year he had to install a window unit in addition to his roof ac's and still couldn't get it much below 90 in the coach during the day. Never asked what his electric bill was.

Two 15k A/C Units running 24/7
roughly 3000W (3kw/h)

18 cents per kw/h X 3 = 0.54/hr
0.54 X 24 = 12.96/day
12.96 X 30 = 388.80/month
Plus $6 meter reading fee, Plus $6 billing fee Plus $8 account/record keeping fee

$400/month JUST for A/C
Toss in fridge/water heater if on electric...that's another 2000W per hour run time
Any AC Power appliances......add them in also

Yuma AZ and Summer-----YIKES!

About this. We have a friend in the area and she pays about this on a good month in the summer. More if it stays hotter, but no less. She's been there year round and summer months are brutal to equipment and to electric bills. She averages $300 a month year round, so figure that in or a bit more.

That sounds more like what I would expect. I live in AZ and pay the same rates as Yuma. Not quite as hot where I live due to being higher in elevation here (3,300 feet) but we just had a week of 108-110F daily highs. The highest bill for me is usually the month of June, and that's about $120-130 for everything. My highest bill ever was $145, last July. That's for an 1,800 sq ft house with central air (heat pump). I'm sure my house is a lot better insulated than an RV, but it's obviously also a lot bigger.

My neighbor keeps her house like an ice box in the summer and says she pays around $200 during peak months. I keep my house at 80 degrees except after 10:30 p.m. when it's programmed for 78 until the next morning.

In April and October my electric bill is usually around $40 per month or less.
