There will be a new rally this year sponsored by Good Sam's and Camping World. It is called the 1st Annual Southeastern US Rally. It is being held in East Ridge Tennessee at exit 1 on I-75, 1 mile from I-24 also. The dates are August 18 - 21. Early Bird Days are 8/16 -17. Check out the Good Sam site for more information. The registration forms are available for the Rally at Tennessee Good Sam Home Page open the thumbnail on the left identifying the 1st Annual Southeastern U.S. Rally. More will be posted as soon as it is available. I hope to see you there.

We don't belong to Good Sam's but we do have a Camping World membership. Does that mean we can go to this? Sorry, newbie question.

As the Assistant Director of Operations I can say that this Rally is open to anyone that has a RV and even those that do not have one yet and looking for one. Yes Joe is right when he says it is open to anyone. You do not have to be a member of Good Sam's or Camping World. We usually have a lot of rigs to attend our state Samborees from Florida. Talk to some of them and caravan up to us.

It was announced this morning that Camping World was cancelling this rally for 2011. New dates for it in 2012 will be announced very soon. The reason for this was that there was not ample time to advertise and get it on attendees calendars for 2011. It will be rescheduled for 2012. I hope to see you there. All monies will be refunded by Camping World.

Sundance3200, That's a too bad. I hope not too many will be disappointed.

Since you guys were in the middle of spinning up this furball of activity and eager to go Rallying, may I offer you an alternative at this point. Please consider attending the 11th iRV2.com National Rally at the Bethpage Camp & RV Resort this coming September 25 to the 1st of October.

I was just in Bethpage over the weekend to support the Virginia State Samboree and I can tell you that Bethpage is a very nice place to hold a rally.

So if you guys have your Rally faces on, bring it on and come and join us in Bethpage!

Might just do that only thing is that we are planning and hosting the Tennessee Good Sam Samboree the very next weekend. Joe is the Security and Equipment Chief and I am the East Tennessee Assistant State Director which means that I volunteered to do a little of everything else. In other words a Go Fer. We will see what we can do.

Confused. Another Newbie here. Thought I read that the Southeastern Rally was canceled until next year, but just read where sundance3200 was getting ready for the Samboree in Tennessee. We would like to attend this rally if it is still in the works or there is still room. Please advise.

Awesome news! My only problem is I'll be out of town working during that timeframe! Grrrrrrrrrrrr. And to think that East Ridge is in my backyard. We live in East Brainerd (Chattanooga) and have often travelled over to the CW. I guess I can only hope the rally is there again soon! :-)

Yes the Rally in East Ridge is cancelled. What I was talking about was the Tennessee Good Sam Samboree that is being held in Oct. Tennessee Good Sam Home Page for information on it. Sorry about the confusion. These are 2 different events. The rally is cancelled and the Samboree is still on in Oct.
