Will be heading to Daytona 500 from Ohio in February,,, anyone else going,,

Me and a couple of my buddy's go down for The Dirt Car Nationals over at Volusia Speedway park up in De Leon Springs, FL. We'll be there from 2/17 through 2/23. We head down to the speedway for the shoot out or the duals, but we don't do the 500. If you like some good dirt slinging action you should try to make it up for a night or two. We camp right at the track and have a great time.

Oh ok,,, yea awsome dirt track and event ,,, have been there 2 years in a row!!! I live about an hour from Eldora Speedway in Ohio,, Big dirt track fan!!!

We live about an hour south of Eldora. We go up for the Dream, World and the Johnny Appleseed classic. What date are you planning on leaving?

We are heading out I think on sunday the 17th !! When you go to Eldora, which camping lot do you prefer & why??

We stay over at Speedy across the street, been staying there in the same spot for years and thats where all of our friends stay. We are heading out for Florida on the 16th and we'll stop over night then we'll get into town down there on the 17th.

Are you camping at Volusia this year or somewhere else? As far as Eldora we stay at Northside camp. Bring it on! Nothing better than great dirt track racing and gett'n dirt in my beer!!

At Daytona we camping in port orange,,, at Eldora was asking about lot 1,2,3,4 which do you like on northside?? Grass or gravel??? And yes I love sling dirt racing!! LOL!!

I will be camping at Volusia this year. We stop at Bubba Raceway park on the way in for a day and then head on over to VRP for the rest of the stay. We have always stayed at Speedy across the street from Eldora. reserve the same spot ever year. I like the grass better all the way up until it rains, and then not so much. Last years world was like soup over there after the big rains.

@cdfdonnie,,, let me know when you are on the way to Daytona!! I will try to meet up at races,,, also we ended up in lot 1 at Eldora for truck race in July!
