How wonderful to find this link (it's my 1st day!). Being a newbie, I hope you will bear with me.
Anyone going racin' this year? If so, where?
DH & I will probably only go to NHIS.
In the past we have gone to Daytona, Charlotte, Bristol (no camping), Martinsville, Richmond, Darlington, Indy (no camping), Texas (no camping), Vegas (no camping), Homestead and Dover.
How about you?

Will be going to both Pocono races again this year in the RV. I am doing several more way out of state and am flying there.
My group of friends have toyed with the idea of doing NHIS but have yet gottem serious about it. We have been told several times that NHIS is not very RV friendly. What's your opinion?

I have been to about half of the tracks, some are not run anymore, over the last 30 years. We'll be doing Atlanta in a couple 2+ weeks. We have RVd at all but Phoenix. Best used to be Daytona infield in the 90's and early 2000's Now I would say Atlanta is the most friendly and easiest to work with. Used to live in Rockingham in the 80's and went to more tracks than I can remember sometimes. We do the infield if we can first, if not then camp outside and sit in grandstands. Wife won't do grandstands anymore; I guess I spoilt her by doing the infield thing so much. When I can get away with it I put up the iRV2.com Banner to help out the website. THe saddest day was when Dale Sr. died and only a short distance from where his best friend Neil Bonnett died a few years earlier. We were there and the memorial that his fans made was truely the most amazing site I have ever seen in my life. It has not been the same since that day.

Heading to Vegas next week - camping at Sam's Town RV Park.
Month later, heading to Texas Motor Speedway - camping outside Turn 3.
Sold my Bristol tickets and camping spot at All-American Campground this year. Friends couldn't make the trip this year.
Stopped camping infield at Kansas Speedway last year.
Been to St. Louis, Memphis, Bristol, Texas, Kansas, Talladega, and Martinsville. Want to make as many different tracks as I can over the next few years.

I only get to go to Homestead year as I live in Ft. Lauderdale area and can't get out of state to other races. Wish I could though!

Great topic...we take the RV to the spring and fall Talladega races and the Chicagoland race. We also go to several of the IRL races...anyone else?

Although this is not NASCAR related, but last June family went to F-1 race in Montreal. Had a wonderful time. Stayed at KOA just outside.. 25 min. drive to the metro. Wonderful time!

Going to Michigan for both the June and August races. Will be in the infield, "on the rail" in turn 1 for the June race and in turn 4 for the August race.
