Notre Dame football tailgate location suggestions, anyone?

Are there any suggestions from personal experience, or word of mouth?

I lived 5 miles North of the gold dome for 5 years 30 years ago. At that time the big rv would tailgate in two parking lots south of the stadium. It was nice you could hear the excitement in the stadium and shortly later you would see what caused all the noise on the TV outside the RV's.

I would check with the school to confirm it's still the same location.

Notre Dame Park n Party has some options allowing you to reserve ahead of time, pretty close to campus.

We walked by this lot on our way in to a game and saw folks with Class As tailgating in this lot, a few years ago but could not find out how to access a reservation for it.
