21/221 through WV and NC - Big rig friendly?
I'm starting to plan our slow return south after the IRV2 rally. Can anyone tell me if highway 21/221 through West Virginia and North Carolina are suitable for a big rig?

Not familiar with 21 N of Elkin NC. but 221 from Boone on to SC is fine. We travel 221 from Ninety Six to Marion NC frequently to visit friends. We take a detour onto 74 to I26 to miss construction on 221 between Forest City NC and Chesnee SC. Get back on 221 S of Spartanburg at Moore to bypass construction and Spartanburg.

Rt 21 doesn't run through WV - it starts Wytheville, VA.
