38 foot Class A towing a Honda CRV going from Destin Florida

So we are wanting to travel east from Destin Florida along coastal Hwy 98 to Perry Florida. Any issues with roads, traffic or low bridges that we need to be concerned about?

Thanks
TVP

Atlas / Walmart RV map will show interstates and red line roads which are all RV safe. Local state / county roads in black are all suspect...

I have traveled US 98 several times between Perry, Fl and Panama City, FL. It is a very scenic drive mostly along the Gulf of Mexico. No issues using your RV and toad. Enjoy your trip.

Looks like it would be a good route, then pick up I-75 to Sarasota

Agree with Roamin Richards, we used that road happily last year.

We drive it several times each year yanking a dolly and toad with our 38 footer.

Not a high speed road from PCB to St Marks area, but very relaxing and scenic. After that eastbound you can put it on cruise and go to the back and take a nap till you hit the light at 19 in Perry.

Have to watch a few reduced speed areas around the smaller towns and bridges crossing rivers. No tunnels or underpass bridges to worry about

Just did it with my 38 and a CRV. Absolutely no problems. Good road to take. We are at Sarasota Sunny South now.

I just did it a month ago in the other direction and no issues with bridges, etc, but the road is beginning to get a little rough - not enough to keep you from using it yet. Here is my blog comment "From Dunnellen, we took FL-40 and county 336 to get on US-98 which took us to the RV Resort just east East Point, FL. The roads started out good but became just okay as US-98 is getting a little rough beginning in Chiefland and will need resurfacing soon. Otherwise it was a pleasant drive, especially the last few miles along the water, and much less stressful than the interstate." I later went on to Navarre and the road surface was good on that leg.
