YES. Basically it's like any major 2 lane highway anywhere else in the US and Canada. There are even stretches that are 4 lane divided. The only caveat is there is almost always some road construction somewhere. In those cases it's like any other road construction area.

We've taken our motorhome(s) over the Alcan 4 times in the last 15 years. The last time was 2019. Each time it's better than the time before.

alcan

Go for it--provided the border is open. It's a beautiful drive--just take it easy. Rough part last time was thru Destruction Bay. Watch out for freeze humps--this old South Texas man was not familiar with them. HaHa !!
Long distance between fuel stations but lots of pull over scenic places to spend the day and or night. Happy travels on the Alcan.

Have driven Alcan twice in 30ft class C. Road is good, mostly, as stated in previous posts. Watch out for construction and frost heaves. Enjoy the drive and slow down when necessary.

We've done it in our 40' motorhome towing the Jeep. Awesome!!

NOTE: There's a separate Alaska/Canada section on this forum. Check it out for lots of good ideas.

Yukon had a large outbreak in Covid cases ; reported last Friday , so check the entire route if your travel plan is for this year .

No word on the Yukon is continuing the 24 hour travel time restriction.

Canada /USA border "MAY " open soon but look for the fine print about vaccine proof .

Yes you can drive any size RV on the AlCan. Get the milepost magazine for details.

A good friends family , was involved in the construction of the highway and owned a gas station in the Yukon for years .
All the fuel sold at the Canadian stations comes from refineries in Edmonton; up the same road you're traveling , so delivery costs increase with every mile you drive north ; SO , don't expect fuel to be cheaper in the next town .
