Alpne Wy to Idaho falls
Currently in Alpine Wy 30 miles south of Jackson plans were to go in south entrance of Yellowstone, but entrance is closed today due to snow.
My question is Rt. 26 from Alpine to Idaho Falls a suitable route in a 40' DP & toad without to many mountain passes ? Then Rt. 20 to West Yellowstone?

Yes, you don't use Teton Pass or any other high elevations or slopes. You could go all the way to Idaho Falls, or at Swan Valley take ID 31 to Victor.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idaho_State_Highway_31
You still avoid Teton Pass and as you go N on ID 33/32 you'll have a view of the 'backside' of the Teton Range. Easy road and interesting trip. A giant potato in front of a Drive In Theater near Driggs, lots of Lodgepole tree plots with years planted, into W. Yellowstone.

It's been my experience in and around YNP that if the road has been open, snow only closes a road until it can get plowed, usually an hour or two, not days, unless it's still snowing while being plowed.
