Alt 89 ok for Class A?

Working on our Sept SW Utah trip and was told by an RV'r that lived in the area to avoid Alt 89 between Hwy 67 (north rim Grand Canyon area) and Hwy 89 in AZ. He recommended going back to Kanab and continuing east on Hwy 89 to Page, AZ.

He said Alt 89 would be very difficult in a 35' class A. We plan to visit the north rim, then work our way toward Flagstaff, Sedona, etc.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

I have done that route in a 40foot with a toad. no issue at all. Stayed at Kaibab camper village.

No problem with our coach and toad either. See signature. The road is narrow in spots and you do have a hill up to Jacob Lake.
