Arizona 98

Looking at a trip to the North Rim of Grand Canyon this summer. Has anyone traveled Arizona Hwy 98 from U.S. 160 to Page AZ? On Google earth it appears to be badly broken up with asphalt patches across the road every 30 - 40 feet.

We usually go down to Tuba City on 160 then north on 89. 98 is shown as a tertiary road on my map. But I see this on Wiki: "In 2013, due to the buckling of U.S. Route 89 south of Page, the route became one of the major detour routes from the South Rim to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.[8]"

And there is a thread on it here: https://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/f...d/26075747.cfm

I'm fairly sure that we took 89 from Tuba City to Page last year and I don't have any bad recollections of it, but we may have gone down 98.

98 is a good road. No services. Nice easy drive.
