Have your son make reservations for you at the RV Park on the naval station.

Thanks for the link - we'll have him check into this when he gets settled in there. Do you know if families of active duty are authorized to use the facility? The web site says authorized users are "Active, National Guard, Reservists, Retired, 100% DAV. DoD Civilians." - I guess our son can ask when he gets there...

Your son can sign you in as his guest. He will have to make the reservations in his name.

Thanks for your son's service.

I live in Pensacola, Florida and highly recommend you make a stop here if you go through this area. My home is approximately 5 miles north of I-10. The Navy Aviation Musuem in Pensacola is really worth seeing. On every Tuesday and Wednesday morning, behind the Naval Musuem, you can watch the Navy Blue Angels practice. It is the exact same air show you would see if you were watching one of their weekly shows nationwide. If you've never seen them, you owe it to yourself to make it to one of their shows. I spent 30 years in the Air Force and have seen most of the world. I honestly believe northwest Florida has the most beautiful beaches in the world. The sand is like sugar, and the water is a crystal blue. I would recommend a stop at the beach anywhere in the Panhandle, although Destin can be pricey in the summer. Have a great trip.
