Can anyone tell me the best time to get through I-75 in Atlanta with little or no traffic?

That's the part I hate using 75 from OH to FL. We always try to go through Atl on Sunday mornings since everyone is still in bed hungover. I prefer using 95, but it's longer and hillier...is that a word.

We shoot for daybreak, prior to rush hour, or early afternoon. Usually get through in pretty good shape, unless there's an accident. Then all bets are off.
Nobody, including myself, enjoys that stretch of road, but as long as you avoid the rush hours (and snow!), a little patience gets you through there every time.
If I were young enough to be out on the road between 2 and 5 am, I might try that?

Between 10am - 2pm during the week. Weekends check the GA DOT website for lane closers (Construction).

I've had the best luck early Sunday mornings. Good luck and hope you find a clear path.

Thanks to all. It can be a real nail biter going through there. I love Atlanta, but not it's traffic.

Try 285 around Atlanta. More trucks but less traffic.

One of the things I hate about "Atlanta", is the right lane suddenly becomes an "EXIT ONLY". Traffic on the left WILL NOT LET YOU MOVE OVER!!! It is very scary. I avoid Atlanta at all costs now.

Late evening or early am, I always stop for dinner in Dalton then get to Atlanta around 8:00 & stay in the middle lane.
Never had a problem.
