We take Hwy 17 to Folly Road then south on Folly Road to Camp Road, take a right and go west on Camp Road to Riverland Drive then take a right on Riverland Drive and go north and the park is on the left just north of Camp Road. Going north of the park on Riverland Drive is lots of lot trees. Camp Road has about the same clearance but much shorter way in. We brushed a few limbs with our antennas in our Allegro Bay.

We went the long way down Riverland Drive at night a few years ago and I didn't think there would be anything left on the top of the RV. Never again in the dark.

I live on James island and can check DOT's progress for y'all.
We go there once or twice during the lights in November/December. I take Folly Rd. a right on Camp Rd., then turn right on Riverland Dr.
We are 13'6" and drive looking up, wife watches the road.

I will warn you, if you come via Maybank Hwy to Riverland, you will have a problem...

Followed up with DOT today on trimming trees along road going to James Island County Park. Work order is still active and a crew Has been assigned the work. Will call back in two weeks for a follow up report. DHE

Any word on the tree situation? We are leaving later today.

I've driven through Charleston many times in a car, never with an RV, we always take I-526 around the city. Trip advisor is sending us through the city. Any experience?

We did, not that much further.

No Spanish moss on the antenna, we took Folly to Crntral Park, OMG!! I was inside the motor home ducking.

We're heading over to Magnolia Plantation tomorrow, we'll go all the way up Riveraide to Maybank to see how it looks.

No word as yet. Work order is in. I’m camping at Dreher Island right now so will check when I return. I would go around as well. When will you be coming into James Island?
