Basecamp Issue (display dates)

What am I doing wrong ...

I am planning a multiple day trip (7-10 days). ............ see attached pic ........

When planning a trip east to Nova Scotia, I enter my address (Winnipeg Manitoba to "small town" Nova Scotia). If I let Garmin - Base-camp select the route it takes me through the USA .... BTDT prefer to go via Ontario - PQ - NB.

Soooooo I need to select an intermediate stop (North Bay ON) and then I add a day after each location I want to stop. GREAT tSO FAR (4 hr days). BUT when you look at the "side bar" where the trip is saved is separates the N EAST trip into the first 2 days then the next 7 are in a separate sub-section .... [moderator edit]. How do I fix this.

I'm no expert, but I do use BC and have for several years. I don't understand: "BUT when you look at the "side bar" where the trip is saved is separates the N EAST trip into the first 2 days then the next 7 are in a separate sub-section ...."

Also are you using Mac or PC?
And have you uploaded to the Garmin yet to see what happens? Which you can always delete from your gps if you don't like the results. And your route will remain on your computer.

Note: When I plan a trip I establish a way point at the start and end and see where BaseCamp takes me. If I don't like the route BC creates, I create way points on my route and re-calculate the route. I usually only need to add a few way points. I divide the trip into two segments. First the highway segment then site seeing way points. This makes for much easier editing should I change my mind. I don't worry about days. The second day, the GPS will ask what my next way point is? I select the next one and the trip continues. I repeat this process every day.

Using WIN 10.

BC (of course) allows 24 hrs/day travel - trouble is if travel is 2400 miles so 48 driving hours. The trip MUST be split and this is were BC messes with me.

CF-104-

I've run into this before, but don't remember how it happens.

There is something significant about a folder with a blue arrow vs. a red pushpin. I can't remember that, either. It could be that the blue arrow is a "past" trip and the red pushpin is a "future" trip. Or not.

To fix it, try to drag and drop the "hubs" (NE3, NE4, etc.) from one trip folder to another. Once one of the "NE" trip folders is empty, you can delete it.

I haven't had to run BaseCamp for a few months, so am a bit rusty.

I establish waypoints that I want to hit and then plot the route. For multi-day trips, I use campgrounds or motels as waypoints. After the route is set, I can click on the route to pull up the route box, then click on each stop to set an arrival and departure time.

Oh yeah, the issues with the file box are most likely caused by what was highlighted when you drew routes.
