When? Some routes are closed due to snow most winters.

I don't know what you preferences are ... I strongly suggest that if you are going to cross the Bighorns you NOT use US 14A or US 14 ... US 16 is a much better route to cross the Bighorns

If you are going into MT to visit the Custer battlefield, I strongly suggest that you NOT enter on US 202 through Red Lodge, MT

On your way in (or out) I highly recommend that you visit the museum in Cody, WY ... it is one of the three best museums that I have been in ... it is actually 4 museums in one: guns, western art, native american, and Buffalo Bill Cody.

I've taken Rt. 14 and Rt. 16 and definitely prefer Rt. 16. Stop and take pictures in Ten Sleep Canyon!

Don't forget to make the right in Worland!

It would be summer. We have been to Yelliwstone 4 times. Always from different directions. We know not to take the RV through Cooke City! LOL
