Best route?

We going from Thousand trails San Benito to Rancho oso in Santa Barbara.
36 foot gas pulling a utility trailer.
Looking for best route advice.

I’ve taken the route several times. Leave San Benito and take Hwy 25 to King City. There proceed south on Hey 101 to Hwy 154 just north of Buelton. Hey 25 is a slow drive.

I used to enjoy Hwy with my Triumph and MG, but i sure wouldn't want to come down that hill into Santa Barbara with traveler's rig! I would stay on 101 into SB.
