Best route from Santa Fe NM to Cortez CO?

We will be driving a 25 foot class C with a toad from Santa Fe NM to Cortez CO the first week of Sept. Any suggestions on the best route(s)? Google says 550 to 64 to 491 but I'm never sure taking Google advise while in an RV- sometimes it takes you on some roads not great for RVs.

we've been on all those roads towing a 40+ foot 5th wheel. no problems! stay on the 64 bypass around farmington. do not take 64 (main street) through downtown farmington. we made that mistake once. it is nothing but traffic circles!

We took 84 to Chama, and 64 across to Aztec to see Aztec national monument, then on to 4 corners the next day in late 2019, overall nice drive, and the route west from Chama was a nice scenic drive. We were in our 28 ft class A without a TOAD on that trip, and would do it again with or without TOAD.

We've driven 550/64/491 route many times in our Class A. Nothing with that road that makes me want to find another route. Traffic through Bernalillo after turning off I-25 is sometimes heavy but not a problem. Parts of 491 are rough. Bigchick is right on going through Farmington. Just follow the signs and you'll be good.
