Best Route, Zion NP to South rim of the Grand Canyon?

Traveling from Zion NP to South rim of the Grand Canyon. Any experience regarding US89 through south Utah vs US 89A through north AZ. I am looking for easiest route, and flattest. 89 looks straighter than 89. Entegra Anthem towing F150.

It's been a number of years since my canyon tour , by car , did both routes , I wouldn't consider either straight or flat . Do able in an RV, but not straight or flat.
Southern Utah, and northern AZ are high elevation areas and the roads should be considered mountain roads.

I did that trip last summer and used 89. It was an easy drive and the road is in pretty good shape. Same for 89A.
