Best way to n. Myrtle beach, SC from south

We will be going to North Myrtle Beach, SC in a few weeks and will be traveling north on I95 from Florida. What is best route into North Myrtle ?? My routing programs show going through Charleston and up US 17 through Myrtle Beach to North Myrtle.

We are considering either going up to Florence and over to US 501 or through Lake City on US 378.

We've heard about the traffic in this area and are looking for a good way. We drive a 38 ft pusher and tow a pickup so we are long.

Any advise is appreciated.

From Pawleys Island I would take Bypass 17 to Rt 544 to Hwy 31.That way you get around a lot of traffic.

Actually when I looked it looks like in MB. The Apache campground on 9700 Kings road.

From I-95 North take 327 north of Florence. Turn left on 76/301. Continue on 76/576 to 501. Take 22 and follow all the way to 17. You will need to go South just a little bit on Hwy 17 but this route will bypass all the Florence, the busy part of 501 and HWY 17 traffic in Myrtle Beach. 22 is a 4/6 lane highway with very little traffic.

I live in Florence and go to the beach often, also very familiar with Charleston/Georgetown areas, the way 98Dynasty mentioned would be your better route to avoid traffic and make good time driving.

98Dynasty gave you the route you need if you prefer to come straight into the Apache CG area. Good luck on the pier fishing.
