Big rig in northern West Virginia

We are heading north in the spring, and would like to stop at Blackwater Falls, Davis, WV. We have a 43 foot motorhome towing a Jeep.

Our planned route is I79 to Weston, then east on 48 to Elkins, 33 to Harman, and then head north on 32 to Davis. Leaving Davis, we would go north on 219 all the way to Keysers Ridge, MD at I68.

I know some of the southern parts of 219 are treacherous, not sure about the north. Looking for info on tight turns and other hazards.

We travel that way as far as Canaan Valley State Resort Park every year to go snow skiing. Rt 33 and Rt 32 can be a challenge due to some 8% and 9% grades and a few turns so sharp you will swear you will be able to see your toad in front of you!!!! Very doable, but take your time. Once you get to Canaan Valley the road levels out and the rest is a piece of cake. We have driven that rout in snow and ice, however, WVa keeps the roads clear.

You should have driven that route when coal was KING about 15 years ago. Those loaded coal trucks would just about push you off the road in those curves. Now you will only see pickup trucks and SUV's. Enjoy the views, West Virginia is a beautiful state.

Canaan Valley has a nice camp ground and great hiking trails.
Blackwater Falls has some nice hiking trails, but we never have camped there.
