We are on vacation in Branson and are going to St. Louis after we leave here. I know that the quickest way to get from here to there is Route# 65 to I-44. However, we will be taking I-44 home. I'm not pressed for time, so is there an alternative route that may be better? Either more scenic or has something our kids may want to see? I was looking at Route# 160 east to Route# 21 north. Good/bad, is this not a RV friendly way to go?

There is a large bunch of iRV2 folks in Branson this week for the National Rally. Check up at the top to see what is going on. They are alwys open for a visitor.

Welcome to iRV2.

As Ken posted, the iRV2 7th annual national rally is being held in Branson this week, we're at the America's Best Campground. Stop in and say 'Hi', we'll give you an iRV2 bumper sticker.

Just a caution, the state and county roads in southern Missouri can be narrow with little to no shoulder and many curves. The maps do not adequately prepare you. However, the roads are scenic and slow your pace of travel considerably.

I'll stay on the state routes, slowing my pace isn't a concern if its within reason! I'd really like to see some scenic areas if it is possible. I just don't want to get to St. Louis with white knuckles or a scraped up camper!!

Well made the trip from Branson to St. Louis. It went good. We took Route# 160 east from Branson, to Route# 63 north to I-44 west to St. Louis. The roads were twisty, but if your not in a crunch for time and want to avoid looking at Interstates (since we see enough of those), its a good drive. I would have took Route# 160 east to Route# 67 north, but the DW wanted to get headed to St. Louis so we could make it to Six Flags on Wednesday!
