Calgary,AB to Casa Grande, AZ

Leaving in 2 weeks. Pick-up towing a 10ft enclosed trailer. No RV and tow this year. GS and Google routing the same. I-15 south to exit 95 in UT. Hiway 20 to 89 to 89a (alt 89)to 89 and into Flagstaff. I-17 and 10 into Phoenix and on to Casa Grande. Will avoid the big city rush hours.
Specific question for the folks in and around SLC: With the ongoing construction, etc is I-215 an option or just stay on I-15 all the way thru the Ogden-SLC-Provo corridor?
Comments please on the 89a(alt89)routing/road from those familiar with the road and/or have been thru very recently.

Thanking you in advance.
Heads up for all our American friends....the Snowbird migration is underway!!!

Update. We are in Phoenix tonight. SLC I-15 was fine. Clear sailing from Ogden at 1:15 pm and past Provo by 2:30 pm. No sign of construction....all done I guess.
89A......Road narrow and twisty especially in the Kaibab Forest. Take you time. Lot`s of Rv`s using the road.
